Happy Friday, things are about to get weird! In a slightly unexpected turn of events, Pamela Anderson has reached out to Kanye West to ask for his help setting her rumored boyfriend Julian Assange "free."

"Hi Kanye Hope you are well I was wondering about your thoughts on Julian Assange," the Baywatch star wrote in what is quite possibly the best opening sentence to a letter ever. "I support him and I know you value Free Speech-Visibility is good for him especially in America. Where they are trying to put him away for life or worse for exposing corruption in governments."

By way of a little background, Assange has been at the Ecuadorean embassy in London for the past six years claiming political asylum to avoid extradition to Sweden over a rape allegation. He's also wanted in the United States for espionage thanks to a lil' something called WikiLeaks.

Pamela told Kanye that her boyfriend has “been locked in a small room," that he doesn't have access to phone calls, internet, or visitors, and that the experience "is torture."

"He is genius. A real world leader that young people love," she wrote. "Public support could set him free. Media is monopolized so some brave voices are the only Hope to break through."
