If you ask us, the best beauty moment of 2023 was any time Pamela Anderson went makeup free. Whether it was the first time she ditched makeup to attend Paris Fashion Week, or the most recent time, when she kicked off 2024 makeup-free as the face of Proenza Schouler, Anderson's all-natural beauty caused just as much a stir in the media as it caused a makeup-free movement of people embracing their own skin.

Now, after multiple months of being bare-faced, the actor has decided to help the world feel as confident and powerful in their skin as she does by heading up skincare brand Sonsie, alongside her sons Brandon and Dylan.

Though the brand—which was founded by OG blogger Marie von Behrens-Felipe— has been in business since the summer of 2023, Anderson joining the mix as co-founder and owner makes Sonsie the latest celebrity beauty brand to enter the space. However, it wasn't just a business venture for the icon; the relationship came as naturally as her bare-faced look.

Shortly after causing headlines with her makeup-free Paris Fashion Week moment, Dylan's girlfriend let her try out Sonsie's Basic Balm lip balm ($22), and she fell in love with the brand's packaging, identity, and message.

Sonsie is a vegan, cruelty-free brand that doesn't promise to fix every issue you have with your skin, but instead aims to provide a more holistic mindset with formulas focused on the hydration and health of your skin.

Sonsie is "about accepting yourself where you are right now," Anderson told Vogue about the venture. "All of us have tried all sorts of different things—your friends are doing it, then you're doing it. But I just came to a point where I felt like, 'This is it. I just want to do me, keep my skin hydrated, and look after myself, but I don't want to have to think about tomorrow. I want to think about right now. Live and how I feel in this moment.'"

She also said that the brand reflects your own journey with beauty, skin, and self-acceptance. She told the publication she likes that the brand is "not [about] false promises, it's self-acceptance of yourself and where you are in this moment. Not beating yourself up about something, but just feeling a little more free." Which she says is much like "my journey to challenge beauty."

As of now, the brand includes three gentle products: the balm that started it all, the Multi Moisture Mask ($48), and the Sonsie Super Serum ($64). We can't wait to see where Anderson will take the brand next.
