Palm Springs Surf Club Reopens (Video)
Waves are, once again, breaking in the southern California desert.
The Palm Springs Surf Club – aka the current belle of the wave pool ball – has returned.
And to kick things off, they’re throwing a party.
In conjunction with the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Goldenvoice, the folks who put on the fest, will be hosting a pool party at PSSC. It will go down both weekends of the festival (April 13th-14 and 20th-21st) with a host of DJs.
Meanwhile, surfing will make its triumphant return, too.
Per a press release:
“We’re stoked to finally share that the wait is over!
“We thank you for your patience and for being apart of the Palm Springs Surf Club community & mailing list.
“Before we announce anywhere else online, we're excited to let you know that surf sessions are now available and live on our website, ready to be booked.

“As you'll see, there have been some adjustments to our sessions, including the debut of an exciting brand-new session on our calendar!
“We are thrilled to have you back!”
And it looks like, in addition to the reopen, there will be some upgrades as well. They announced a new session to the surf menu – the “5 Slabs of Fury.” Any ideas on what that might look like? Safe guess: a five wave succession of ultra-steep, mutant, tubes.
