Palisades Tahoe President Dee Byrne Announces Retirement

POWDER has learned via press release that longtime Palisades Tahoe President & COO Dee Byrne is retiring after 40 years in the industry, the last 13 with Palisades Tahoe.

Byrne was promoted to President & COO in 2021. She previously served as Vice President of Skier Services and as the Managing Director of Snowsports Schools and Ski Teams.

She will continue serving as President & COO until Palisades Tahoe's parent company Alterra hires a successor.

Byrne led Palisades Tahoe through an eventful three years. Namely (pun intended) the resort's name change, the installation of the Base to Base Gondola, the snow record-breaking season of '22/'23, and two FIS World Cup events.

As for what's next, Byrne plans to stay in Tahoe and "focus (her) time on giving back to this wonderful community while being an avid guest at this world-class and beloved mountain.”
