The royal baby watch continues today, with some fans theorizing that Meghan Markle may have already had her baby in secret. The Palace had announced that she and Prince Harry were keeping the birth of their baby private, and Harry has an engagement abroad next Wednesday and Thursday. But no, the baby has not been born yet. Buckingham Palace confirmed to Entertainment Tonight Canada that the media will be notified when Meghan is in labor.

The Daily Mail's royal reporter Rebecca English tweeted similar intel this week, writing that she was "assured that if they [the Palace] are able to tell us she has gone into labour, then they will." She also wrote that Harry would cancel his previously planned engagement, a trip to the Netherlands to launch the one-year countdown for the Invictus Games, if needed. "Harry is keen to go, but the baby comes first," she wrote. "If he has to pull out or amend his itinerary, he will."

ITV's Chris Ship wrote on Twitter that he was told Meghan is overdue with Baby Sussex by about five or six days. (Kate Middleton was also overdue with Prince George, and mothers are slightly more likely to be overdue with their first baby than subsequent children.) He wrote that he had been informed her due date was last weekend. The Duchess of Sussex herself said her due date was the end of April or early May. So really, this baby could come at any time now.

Once Meghan and Harry welcome their child, they will announce the birth but forgo the typical photo call outside the hospital with the newborn. Their first photos as a family of three will be taken days after Baby Sussex is born, when Meghan and Harry have settled in with their little one in Windsor. As CNN reports, they will invite "a small group of journalists, photographers and camera crews" to take the first portraits of them together.
