Painted Post Tractor Supply to host backyard poultry event

PAINTED POST, N.Y. (WETM) – The Painted Post Tractor Supply will be hosting a backyard poultry event this weekend to help customers learn how to take care of a flock in their own backyard.

The event will be at the Painted Post Tractor Supply location on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to the public.

Drug “Take Back” initiative returns to the Southern Tier

Since Tractor Supply sells the essentials when it comes to raising these at-home birds, the store is hosting this event to help its customers learn how to care for them properly.

During the event, a variety of expert event partners will be there to help provide customers with guidance when it comes to raising chickens and other poultry.

“The popularity of raising backyard poultry continues to grow year after year,” said Ben Hoyt, manager of the Painted Post Tractor Supply store. “Many people love the convenience of getting fresh eggs right from their own backyard but don’t know where to start. Our goal is to ensure that anyone who’s interested in raising a backyard flock has the resources and information needed to do so.”
