Paint The Town Pink carnation sale is May 10

May 3—The Wabash Valley Breast Cancer Survivor Organization is sponsoring the annual Paint The Town Pink carnation sale May 10.

Proceeds will be used for mammograms for women who are uninsured and underinsured, gasoline cards to get to doctor appointments, sleeves for lymphedema, free wigs for all women on chemo, a coping kit containing a pink satin pillowcase along with a drainage tube bag, a soft pink pillow, and a soft seat belt cover.

Surgeons and oncologists hand these items out, along with literature on coping. Free wigs, turbans, and caps are available at Hope, Hux, Providence and Regional Cancer Centers.

The dark and light pink carnation arrangements will be sold for $10, $20, $30, $40 or $50 each . Bud vases sell for $7, or individual carnations are $1 each. Donations also are accepted.

Locations include WTHI-TV, where carnations will be sold in front of the station beginning at 6:30 a.m. until all are sold.

Carnations will also be sold beginning at 10 a.m. at Baesler's, Big Lots — North, Haute City Center, Terre Haute Convention Center, First Farmers Bank & Trust Terre Haute locations. The Villas of Hollybrook will have a drive through available from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Delivery is available for orders $100 or more to one location in Terre Haute. Single orders can be picked up at the Cherry Street entrance to the Terre Haute Convention Center Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 10.

Carnation arrangements in vases and small carnation bowls will also be available for purchase.
