‘Paint into Purpose’ this Mother’s Day in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Impact Church SoNo is hosting a Mother’s Day event titled “Paint into Purpose.”

The event is free for 50 mothers who register and scheduled for May 11 at 2 p.m. in Chesapeake at Impact Church SoNo.

“This gathering aims to celebrate the invaluable role of mothers in our lives through an afternoon filled with art, joy and communal bonding,” an email states.

The event is intended to bring together communities and create long-lasting memories. The organization is asking for volunteers to help collect supplies and help the organization.

Paint and painting supplies:

  • 50 canvasses

  • 50 wine glasses, which will be filled with chocolates as a sweet treat

  • 50 roses, symbolizing love and appreciation for all mothers

  • 10 plastic table cloths to accommodate our participants comfortably
