Sharing her life online has helped Paige Lorenze grow an online community of over a million followers, but that doesn’t mean that she’ll be doing so for the rest of her life.

The content creator has been building her lifestyle and clothing brand Dairy Boy over the past few years in an effort that it can be a big part of her future instead. Catering initially to her large, built-in audience but ultimately for everyone, Dairy Boy offers a selection of clothing from sweats to hats to home goods like candles and cosmetic bags. The brand recently held its first in-person event in downtown New York City, where over 2,000 people showed up to shop its offerings and get the chance to meet Paige.

In the latest episode of We Should Talk, In The Know by Yahoo’s interview series, Paige opened up about what she learned from that on-the-ground experience with her fans and customers, how the brand fits into her content overall, why she moved from the city to the suburbs, what her ultimate career goals are, how dating a professional tennis player affects her lifestyle and so much more.

“My goal with being a public person and with being an influencer is not about fame. It’s really not. It’s really about how I can utilize this platform and make a really amazing business, make the money and then throw my phone in the ocean,” Paige told In The Know. “That’s the goal. I don’t want people to get it mixed up — I am sharing and I am doing the thing and I am so grateful. I want to build something, and then take a step back. It’s not about being seen to me. It’s about making an impact, getting my ideas out, articulating myself, building a really strong community, sharing bits of my life and evolving.”

“My content will evolve as I get older, but I don’t really want to be a mom blogger,” she added. “It’s just not for me. I don’t really see myself doing that, so I think that if you don’t see yourself sharing your life so intimately for the rest of your life. You can transition by building a brand.”
