PacSun Announces Formula 1 Collection for the Austin Grand Prix

Concurrent with this upcoming weekend’s Austin Grand Prix, PacSun has announced a continuation in its U.S. retail partnership with Formula 1 for the latest collaboration: The United States Grand Prix 2023 collection.

And for the first time, PacSun will be setting up shop inside the Circuit of The Americas stadium on Oct. 22 — along with a mobile showroom driving throughout Austin during the race weekend. The mobile showroom will be driving and stopping throughout the downtown area and other Austin hot spots from Oct. 19 to 21 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

“We’re thrilled to bring our Formula 1 merch trackside in Austin at the U.S. Grand Prix,” said Richard Cox, vice president of men’s and global partnerships at PacSun. “This is the first opportunity for PacSun to sell inside a race, and we’re hoping it’s one of many more. We’re excited to engage with fans on the ground at the race and around Austin.”

To help celebrate the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, the California-based brand is taking over the Poppy nightclub in Los Angeles ahead of Sin City’s Grand Prix. On Nov. 10, the duo will also be releasing a new Vegas Grand Prix collection and will set up shop for fans to purchase alongside its new collection, the classic bestsellers poolside at the Wynn Nightclub throughout the racing weekend.

PacSun’s latest collection follows a successful run of initial drops in partnership with the sport. The collaboration with Formula 1 makes the company the first U.S. retailer to produce affordable and stylish racing merchandise for a wide range of shoppers.

The new men’s collection takes inspiration from cowboy culture at the forefront. Long- and short-sleeve T-shirts, a hoodie, a camp shirt and more to pay homage to the beloved Texas-based race with earth-toned colorways.

Additionally, the women’s capsule collection focuses on a vivid pink theme with four tops and pant sets for easy mix-and-matching. Graphic art-inspired logos and designs are utilized for the sporty yet feminine collection of new zip-off pants, double zip hoodies and more.

“As PacSun aims to reach audiences with inclusivity top of mind, we’ll also offer a unique shopping opportunity for fans that aren’t able to attend the race,” Cox said. “We’re popping up across the city in our F1 PacSun branded truck to surprise and delight fans and offer them the ability to shop the new collection. This mobile showroom exemplifies how PacSun is consistently showing up organically to meet consumers where they live, outside of our stores. We’re continuing to explore fun, interactive ways to connect our consumers with Formula 1 culture and provide access to all.”

The United States Grand Prix 2023 collection is available online and in stores at PacSun locations across the U.S. Prices range from $30 to $80.
