More than 130,000 pounds of ready-to-eat Parkview Turkey Polska Kielbasa have been recalled for possible contamination with “extraneous materials, specifically bone fragments,” according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The FSIS received two consumer complaints about the product, and the manufacturer, Salm Partners, LLC, located in Denmark, WS, received one consumer complaint that pieces of bone were found in the turkey kielbasa product. So far, there’s been one minor oral injury reported in association with consuming the product.

Kielbasa Products Included in the Recall

Parkview produced the recalled packages on Oct. 27, 2023, and Oct. 30, 2023, and shipped them nationwide. The packaging contains the following identifying information:

  • Size: 13-ounce plastic vacuum-sealed packages labeled “PARKVIEW TURKEY POLSKA KIELBASA”

  • Establishment Number: P-32009

  • Use By Date: “USE BY APR 24 24” or “USE BY APR 27 24”

The products have been removed from store shelves, but the FSIS believes that some of the packages of turkey kielbasa may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. A list of the specific stores the recalled packages shipped to has not been released yet.
