Outlander fans, season 6 is finally within reach.

After a nearly two-year wait, the hit Starz drama is set to return in early 2022. In the past few weeks, fans have been seeing glimpses of what’s to come, including a first look at the one and only Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) in the new season.

On October 28, the show’s official Instagram and Twitter accounts shared a new photo of Jamie from the upcoming season. Looking right at the camera, he stands in what appears to be a horse stable dressed in his signature uniform with his hair pulled back. “Protector of the Ridge. Loving husband and father. Undisputed King of Men,” Outlander captioned the pic on Instagram. “James. Alexander. Malcolm. MacKenzie. Fraser. That’s it, that's the tweet,” the show wrote on Twitter.

Upon seeing the snap of himself, Sam tweeted,“JAMMF looking pensive, waiting for Droughtlander to be over."

As it turns out, the Outlander cast member’s words resonated with fellow fans who were thinking the exact same thing. “We are all on thorns for the #Droughtlander to be over... also we are so looking forward to see #JAMMF new adventures in #OutlanderSeason6 and for sure #Highlander #JamieFraserFlag of Scotland looks really dashing come back soon in ours homes,” one person wrote. “We are ALL ANXIOUSLY AWAITING THE END OF DROUGHTLANDER!” another added. “Oh we are so waiting for Droughtlander to be over Wanting to see JAMMF and the rest of Fraser's Ridge inhabitants so badly,” a different fan said.

But among all the swooning over the picture was a particularly noteworthy comment from former Outlander star Steven Cree, who played Ian Murray for several seasons. Poking fun at the picture, Steven tweeted back at Sam, “Pensive aka constipated.”

“Keeping it real! We can always count on you Steven Cree!!! 😂😂😂,” a follower commented in reply to Steven's joke. “You never disappoint 🤣😂🤣,” someone else added. “Pensive, constipated. Whatever it’s called it’s still hot 😉🔥,” another said. Hilariously, the show's Twitter account weighed in on Steven's commentary, too: "Now I can't unsee it..."

Kidding aside, many folks were excited to hear from Steven and couldn’t get enough of his revised description of Jamie.
