James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser, son of Brian and Ellen Fraser, was born in the Scottish Highlands at Lallybroch. By the time the show begins, his parents have died, and he's close with his older sister, Jenny Fraser. Jenny marries Ian Murray, a close friend of Jamie's, and they have seven children, including Ian Fraser Murray, called Young Ian, who at the time of the start of Outlander season seven, is in America.

Jamie marries Claire Beauchamp in season one, and when she returns to her present in season two, he marries Laoghaire MacKenzie, who has two children from her second marriage to Simon MacKimmie: Joan MacKimmie and Marsali MacKimmie. When Claire returns, they reunite, invalidating his marriage to Laoghaire. Claire and Jamie are still married in season seven.

Claire Fraser (née Beauchamp)

Claire Beauchamp Randall Fraser is the time-traveling heroine of Outlander. Born to Julia and Henry Beauchamp on October 20, 1918, she marries Frank Randall in 1937. When World War II breaks out, she starts serving as a combat nurse. When war ends, she and Frank travel to the Scottish Highlands for a second honeymoon, and she travels back through time through the Craigh na Dun stones. She meets Jamie and go on to get married. Though she returns to her present, she eventually travels back in time to be with Jamie. (It's honestly too much to explain here—watch the series!) They have two daughters: Faith Fraser, born stillborn, and Brianna Fraser.

Brianna Ellen Randall Fraser MacKenzie, Jamie and Claire's daughter, was conceived in Scotland in the 1700s but born and raised in Boston in the mid-20th century. She was raised by Claire and Frank Randall, who she believed to be her real father until he died.

Brianna eventually falls for Oxford historian Roger MacKenzie, who follows her through the stones into the past. (Yes, he can also time travel.) They eventually marry, and they have a son, Jeremiah "Jemmy" Fraser MacKenzie (Roger is Jemmy's biological father, despite the fact that Brianna was sexually assaulted by Stephen Bonnet after she marries Roger), and a daughter, Amanda MacKenzie.

When Jamie is in Paris, he hires a young boy named Claudel. Eventually, he becomes a father figure to him, and adopts him as Fergus Fraser. Fergus falls for Jamie's former stepdaughter Marsalie McKimmie, and the two eventually marry. They have four children: Germain, Joan, Félicité, and Henri-Chirstian.

William Ransom

Jamie Fraser's last child is William Ransom. His mom, Geneva Dunsany, blackmailed and coerced Jamie into having sex with her, in events many view as assault. William, however, is legally the son and heir of Geneva's husband Ludovic Ransom, Eighth Earl of Ellesmere, who died shortly after William was born, making William the Ninth Earl of Ellesmere. He was raised by Lord John Grey, a British soldier.

Young Ian Murray

Though not shown on the family tree above, Young Ian plays a role in Outlander season seven. As mentioned above, he is Jamie's nephew. In season four, he sacrifices himself to be taken by the Mohawk tribe in exchange for Roger's freedom. Viewers later learn he fell in love with Wahionhaweh, a Mohawk woman whom he calls Emily. They have a daughter Iseabail, who dies. Young Ian's friend, Kaheroton, marries Emily when he leaves the tribe.
