A lot has happened since the last season of Outer Banks came out — and we've been waiting a year and a half to learn the fate of our favorite Pogues for crying out loud! Now that our patience has worn fairly thin, fans were finally rewarded with the news we've all been waiting for: season 3 premieres February 23 on Netflix a.k.a in just enough time to binge Season 1 and 2 for the next few weeks.

With news like that, it's only obvious that fans bombarded the special announcement with messages like, "no one speak to me the 23rd or the week after."

Well, if you're anything like us, there's a good chance this news didn't have the "wow factor" that Netflix originally intended, and we have Madelyn Cline to thank for that.

While on the red carpet for her latest film, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Madelyn explained that the upcoming season of Outer Banks "is a ride from start to finish." After a few more questions, she was excited to share that filming had recently wrapped, but ended up spilling the beans about the release date before it was officially announced.

No matter how many times we watch the clip, her reaction never gets old. Of course, the spoiler got around and fans didn't hesitate to make light-hearted jokes about it on Netflix's announcement post. "Someone definitely didn’t already leak the release date 🤭", joked one fan. Others wrote, "pretending we didn’t know the date…" and "who else remembered the time when Madelyn confirmed it like months ago 😭😭."

Regardless of what source you got the news from, we know season 3 is going to be a doozy, and we can't wait!
