“Wow, that’s cool, but how the heck would I wear it?” WH beauty editor Jessica Chia answers the question so many of us ask at the local Sephora, creating real-world looks with four intimidating spring products (plus a few staples you already own).

The Product: Orange Lip Color

Look 1: Sheer Lips + Matching Cheeks

Emphasize the soft hue with blush in the same color family (peach, coral, or straight-up orange). Finish with black mascara on lashes—that’s it for eyes.

Look 2: Strong Lips + Glowy Skin

Fill in lips fully with an orangey-red lip pencil or lipstick, and top with the gloss. Apply a shimmery luminizer to cheekbones. Keep the rest of your face bare.

Look 1: Rich Shadow + Bronzed Cheeks

Brush the wine hue all over lids as high as the crease. Tap the gold powder it comes with onto the center of lids, up to the brow. Add black mascara and bronzer.

Look 2: Bold Liner + Berry Lips

Trace the outer half of the lower lash line with the burgundy, and the inner half with the gold. Pair with black mascara and creamy berry lipstick.

Look 1: Smoky Eyes + Chiseled Cheeks

Dust silver from lashes to crease. Next, smudge the slate shade into the crease, under lower lashes, and onto the outer third of your lids from lashes to crease. Brush on black mascara and dust cheeks with matte bronzer.

Look 2: Watercolor Lids + Nearly Naked Lips

Apply aqua shadow over the entire lid, and shimmery peach on the outer third of lid. Add black liner, black mascara, and tan lip gloss.

Look 1: Sculpted Cheeks + Lush Lashes

Suck in your cheeks and blend the blush into the hollows. Trace black liquid liner around eyes, then pile on black volumizing mascara. Keep lips neutral and glossy.

Look 2: Flushed Face + Bold Brows

Swirl the violet powder onto the apples of your cheeks with a round blush brush, blending outward toward the ears. Fill in brows with a hair-matching powder or pencil.
