Ouai’s New Air Dry Foam Was Made for Summer Curl Perfection

A new way to make curls pop.

If you’re a curly-haired babe, your summer style game is about to get super strong, thanks to the latest from Ouai Haircare. Jen Atkin, the Kardashian-Jenner stylist and all-around mane maven, teased the brand’s new product, Air Dry Foam ($28), on Instagram — and it is a warm weather savior.

The conditioning and detangling formula was made specifically for curly and wavy hair, so if a wash ‘n’ go ‘do is your everyday look, then this product will be right up your alley. The idea is to mimic the perfectly wavy, beach-ready locks you get after sleeping in braids for two nights. Atkin suggests only applying the foam from the mid-length to ends of your hair if you want to go for a lived-in wavy look.

The product, which launches April 17, includes ingredients that make it more than just a modern mousse. Atkin has formulated the texture booster with kale extract to help your natural curls and waves have motion, while carrot protein works similarly to keratin (which is naturally found in hair) to help repair damaged spots on your strands. These restorative ingredients make your worn-out curls look healthy and defined. The keratin substitute is key in smoothing frayed ends without the risk of pumping too much protein into your hair. It has a light and airy texture that’ll keep your hair from weighing down and your curls from going limp or getting crunchy.
