Otters' Reactions to Playing Peek-a-Boo at the Austin Aquarium Are Precious
They couldn’t believe what just happened.
The Austin, Texas Aquarium, known on TikTok as @the_austin_aquarium, has recently gone viral with one of the most precious videos we’ve ever seen. Within just one day, the clip reached over 2.7 million views.
One of the aquarium employees decided to entertain the otters. And trust us, the otters aren’t the only ones who were entertained. We were as well! He brought out a sheet to play a little peek-a-boo trick on these babies and it’s absolutely everything. Check it out!

O.M.G. Stop it! This is way too cute for words. We would do anything to play peek-a-boo with otters. He threw up the sheet and hid before it came back down. “He went the otter way,” joked @nickpascatore. HA! And the otters’ reactions were priceless!
You can’t help but smile when watching this clip. “They were in otter disbelief what just happened,” wrote @shadzscape. They were absolutely perplexed that he disappeared. LOL! But it wasn’t long until they realized what happened. “The happy ‘oh, there you are!’ jumps at the end,” said @kimh2260.
We seriously can’t get over how they reacted. It’s just so cute! Even the official TikTok account for Slurpee commented saying, “So you’re telling me otters wag their tails?” Right?! We had no idea. But that’s why we love TikTok – we learn something new every day!
