Oscars 2018: ‘Call Me by Your Name’ Named Best Adapted Screenplay

Just because these films were adapted from books doesn’t make them any less important.

James Ivory went home with the Academy Award for Writing (Adapted Screenplay) for Call Me by Your Name at the 90th annual Oscars tonight.

The screenplay was up against Mudbound (Dee Rees and Virgil Williams), The Disaster Artist (Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber), Molly’s Game (Aaron Sorkin) and Logan (Michael Green, James Mangold and Scott Frank).

Repurposed prose FTW!
