Oscar Isaac Covers the Spring Issue of GQ Style

Oscar Isaac does not live like other movie stars. For one, he’s resided in New York since 2001 in order to be close to the theater. He has not channeled the recognition he’s received since his breakout performance in Inside Llewyn Davis into a thriving online personal brand—good luck finding him on social media. He mostly just wants to continue to score the kinds of vivid roles that have allowed him to piece together one of the most interesting careers of his generation. As Zach Baron writes in our cover story, “Isaac is the rare actor who seems totally indifferent to whether or not he is loved. So of course people love him.” In a wide-ranging interview, Isaac discusses his new film Annihilation, plus Hollywood in the post-Weinstein era, Star Wars, his incredible turn as Hamlet at New York’s Public Theater, and the difficulties of the last 12 months in his personal life—death, birth, and marriage. Come back to GQStyle.com tomorrow to read the full cover story and see Isaac at his most stylish in a shoot by Jason Nocito.
