Expect the unexpected.

Fans of Jersey Shore never saw this coming!

The franchise's Instagram account announced yesterday, Mar. 11 that Sammi Giancola, also known as Sammi Sweetheart, is making a very unexpected return to MTV's biggest reality TV series: Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

"She’s still the sweetest bitch you’ll ever meet. 🎥💋 @sammisweetheart#JSFamilyVacation," the account wrote next to a photo of Giancola sitting in front of a green screen for what appears to be a confessional interview.

Fans could not believe their eyes and took to the comments to express their excitement for her return!

"BREAKING THE INTERNET ONE SAMMI AT A TIME," one fan exclaimed.

"Finally wtf took so long," another fan wrote.

Giancola's co-star, Jwoww, aka, Jenni Farley, also commented clapping hand emoji's on the post.

The reality star also took to her Instagram, posing for a selfie in front of the same green screen, writing, "Okay I can finally say… I’m backkk! ☺️ @jerseyshore #jsfamilyvacation."

Giancola originally appeared on Jersey Shore from 2009 to 2012 before MTV rebooted the show with Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in 2018.

The original Jersey Shore followed Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Farley, Nicole "Snooki Polizzi, Pauly DelVecchio, Angelina Pivarnick, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Giancola.

The new season of the rebooted show follows all of the original cast members aside from Ortiz-Magro, who was originally a part of the series before he stepped away from the show in 2021 to seek help for his mental health.

Giancola decided to not return to the rebooted series as her ex-boyfriend, Ortiz-Magro was a part of the cast. The pair dated off and on for five months before calling it quits, and now that Ortiz-Magro is not a part of the show, she is finally making a return.

During an interview on the Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino podcast, Snooki revealed that all of the girls have contacted Giancola to return to the show.

"All of us girls texted her like, ‘Listen! Ronnie isn't on the show right now. You should definitely come on even if it's just a girl's dinner—just with us and catch up,'" Snooki said on the Jan. 12 episode, per E! News. "She's just like, ‘No. I'm good.' She wants nothing to do with the show."

But, it seems as though she's been convinced and we can't wait to see what Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has in store with the original cast member back on the show!
