Oreo has released some beloved collaborations in recent years, from last year's Super Mario Bros. cookies to Lady Gaga's pink and green Chromatica Oreos. For its latest release, Oreo is going to a galaxy far, far away in a trip to the Star Wars universe.

Oreo first teased something out of this world on May 4, best known among fans as Star Wars Day. The iconic snack brand recruited Star Wars superfan Josh Gad for a video as he seemed to explain an Oreo-based conspiracy about the iconic Millennium Falcon starship from the franchise. "You may know this as the Millennium Falcon. Correct? Correct," he said. "But now, it is incontrovertibly a cookie."

On May 15, Oreo unveiled its new Star Wars Oreo Cookies available in a variety of colors and designs. "It's time to discover your destiny," the brand said on Instagram.

Instead of the traditional white cream filling, the Star Wars Oreos come with either red "Dark Side" filling or blue "Light Side" filling. "Open to reveal your destiny," the package reads alongside depictions of Darth Vader with a red lightsaber and Luke Skywalker with a blue lightsaber.

The cookie parts of both the Dark Side and Light Side Oreos are designed with various characters from the Star Wars universe. The Dark Side, for example, features iconic characters like Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Boba Fett, a Stormtrooper, and Jabba the Hutt, while the Light Side boasts heroes like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and, of course, Yoda.

"Pairing two tremendously loved communities to launch the Star Wars Oreo Cookie Packs has been an amazing experience," Oreo's senior brand manager Nicole Fischer said in a statement. "We hope fans see how much we loved bringing their favorite stories to life, and that they have fun discovering the details we've included at every touchpoint."

The Star Wars Oreos will be available for presale online on May 30 and available in stores nationwide starting June 10.
