Oreo’s Newest Release Destined to Serve Up Cosmic Royalty

Oreo fans have so much to look forward to, as the brand has announced yet another collaboration!
The cookie brand is joining forces with Lucasfilm to bring forth a Star Wars-themed snack.
While introducing the Star Wars™ OREO Cookie Packs— which are set to drop via online preorder on May 30 at OREO.com/StarWars—the brand promised that for the first time ever, the contents of each pack will be a surprise, with consumers not knowing the full details of what's inside until they open it up.

"Each pack will reveal cookies that feature either all dark side or all light side character embossments and include red or blue creme infused with 'kyber' (sugar) crystals, inspired by the crystals found in a LIGHTSABER™," stated a press release shared directly with Parade.
Star Wars superfans are bound to love the nod to the movie saga's stars, as a variety of characters such as Darth Vader, Darth Maul and a stormtrooper will be featured in the dark side packs, while Luke Skywalker, Yoda, and Princess Leia will be included in the light side packs.

For those who prefer to grab them in person vs. ordering online, they are expected to begin rolling out at retailers nationwide starting June 10 for a limited time.

As an homage to the franchise, the Star Wars™ OREO Cookie Packs feature original character artwork beautifully hand-painted by the legendary illustrator Greg Hildebrandt, an iconic Star Wars™ poster artist since 1977," the brand explains.
