Oreo’s New Maple Creme Flavor Is Available Now, So You Can Find Us in the Cookie Aisle

Just as those end-of-summer blues start setting in, you’ll have a new, tasty Oreo flavor to get you through it. Nabisco has confirmed to Best Products that Maple Creme Oreo cookies will be hitting shelves in late August.

The limited-edition flavor consists of two Golden Oreo cookies filled with maple-flavored crème. Fall isn’t looking too bad now, right?

Is it still spring? Yes. Is that stopping us from craving fall flavors? No. Oreo is coming out with a limited-edition Maple Creme flavor, and it’s basically breakfast in a cookie.

We first heard about the flavor when Instagram account @markie_devo posted about it last year. The mock-up photo correctly showed a golden Oreo with an orangey-colored crème in the middle. Now, Instagram account @junkbanter revealed with looks to be the real packaging of the Maple Creme Oreo.

My mind and soul may be ready for spring & summer, but my body is permanently ready for fall. Bring on the new Maple Creme Oreos, debuting some time this year (I’d have to guess this will be a late summer release in advance of the fall season). Not exactly the most creative flavor, but Oreo should do a good job with it. I’m thinking like the Waffles & Syrup Oreos without the butter flavor, and a more intense maple. 🍁 Call me crazy but I’m sure we’re not too far away from a Maple Bacon or Chicken & Waffles Oreo.

The golden cookie is filled with a maple-flavored crème, according to the package. The caption says that the flavor will be “debuting some time this year (I’d have to guess this will be a late summer release in advance of the fall season).” The guess totally makes sense, since maple is a fall flavor, but we’re secretly hoping we find them in stores even sooner.

You probably won’t be surprised to hear that Oreo has put out other breakfast-inspired flavors before. The limited-edition Waffles & Syrup Oreo and Cinnamon Bun Oreo cookies have been hits, and we have no doubt that the Maple Creme will be tasty, too.
