Oregon Ski Resort Shows Off Fresh Coating Of Snow

Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort's summer mountain bike park is still open for one final weekend, but bikers might find be met with wintry conditions.

The resort took to social media this morning, September 26th, 2023, to share a photo captured on their webcam of fresh snow covering upper elevations.

Take a look below:

Mt. Bachelor plans to open for the winter season on Saturday, November 25th, conditions and weather permitting.

There's certainly not enough snow to go skiing anytime soon, but a fresh coating of white at the end of September should be enough to make any skier excited for the coming season.

The storm appears to be depositing snow up high, but rain down low, not surprising considering we're not even into October quite yet.

This is not Mt. Bachelor's first snow of the season. The resort picked up a dusting on Friday, September 21st.

This time of year can be challenging. It's not quite cold enough to ski, and the thought of sinking our edges into snow feels so close we can taste. Yet, we still have at least a couple of months of waiting before western resorts start spinning lifts en masse.
