Calling all Non-Amazon Primers: Today Is the Last Day for Free Delivery by 12/24

If you’re already planning on buying a last-minute holiday gift, 1) we salute you and 2) you should know that Amazon is offering emergency shipping options all the way up until Christmas Eve.

That’s right, the online retailer just released its holiday shipping schedule, and it’s a procrastinator’s dream.

It’s important to point out that the deadline differs for Prime and non-Prime members. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you’ll need to place your orders by December 18 for a guaranteed Christmas delivery.

Amazon Prime customers, on the other hand, have much more flexibility. Here are some important dates to keep in mind.

What is Amazon’s holiday shipping schedule?

December 18: Last day for non-Amazon Prime customers to order and get free delivery on orders over $25

December 19: Last day for Amazon Prime customers to order items eligible for standard shipping

December 23: Last day for Amazon Prime customers to order items eligible for one-day delivery

December 24: Last day for Amazon Prime customers to order items eligible for same-day delivery (must order by 9:30 a.m. local time)

How do I know if an item is eligible for same-day delivery?

If it’s not specified on the product page, Amazon will let you know at checkout when it’s time to select your delivery option. An item will either be eligible for two-day, one-day or same-day shipping (or any combination of the three).

So much for getting a head start on this year’s shopping list…
