Orange Kitten Insisting On Drinking From Doggy Water Bowl Is the Cutest Thing on the Internet

As both a cat and dog owner, we put out separate water bowls. They typically go to "their" water bowl but from time to time we’ll see our cat taking slurps from the dog’s bowl. It's absolutely adorable because they’re learning to share. That’s why we’re obsessing over this August 23 clip from TikTok user @rainbowkittenrescue.

A kitten was trying to drink from the dog’s bowl, but he wasn't quite tall enough. He must've learned to do this from another fur baby in the house. LOL! Take a look!

O.M.G. Stop it! We can't handle all this adorableness. The creator thinks this tiny kitten watches the adult cat who drinks from the German Shepherd's bowl and now the baby is trying to prove he's a big boy. LOL! Give it a few more weeks and they won't be able to keep this orange kitten away.

Not only is this video so sweet, but we think it could also be a sign that the kitten is settling in. Kittens, like all animals, need time to adjust to their surroundings. One of the signs that your cat is getting comfortable in their new home is when they start exploring. Timid and shy kittens will typically hide, but once they feel comfortable they'll start exploring and roaming around the house. And that's exactly what this kitten was doing.

Other signs that your kitten is getting comfortable in their environment include eating, playing, purring, being vocal, and wanting you to pet them or get on your lap. Any time you bring home a new pet, you should remember the 3,3,3 rule. The first three days will be spent with them decompressing, then three weeks to learn your routine, and finally three months they'll feel comfortable.
