Oracle Red Bull Racing and Rokt Highlight Women in Formula 1

Formula 1’s Oracle Red Bull Racing and its official team partner Rokt, the global leaders of e-commerce technology, have announced the launch of a five-part series. The major theme throughout the episodes is highlighting women engineers and their significant contributions to the racing world and the record-breaking team.

Individual interviews conducted by Rokt’s chief product officer Srishti Gupta for the partner’s “Driven Beyond Limits” series will highlight five Oracle Red Bull Racing women engineers. The interviews feature principal strategy engineer Hannah Schmitz, R&D drivetrain test engineer Aimee Gibbard, HPC systems engineer Nienke Eijsvogel, machinist Abigail Crawforth and trackside controls engineer Ainhoa Bergiristain.

“We are proud to see the engineers and machinists of Oracle Red Bull Racing coming together to share their career journeys helping to educate and inspire others about the many possibilities for women in STEM,” said Zoe Mills, head of employee experiences at Oracle Red Bull Racing. “Each interview is a unique look into the collaboration, creativity and passion that exists behind the magic of each Formula One race.”

The “Driven Beyond Limits” series is just the latest initiative by Rokt and Oracle Red Bull Racing to help foster more diversity in Formula 1 racing and STEM. Earlier this year in June, a women’s simulator racer development program, “Rokt the Rig” was created to help provide direction for women Formula 1 simulator racers and help to develop their talents.

Furthermore, on International Women in Engineering Day, the duo partnered up to make a networking event for women to learn more about engineering opportunities from a variety of industry professionals.

“Our new video series shines light on the incredible women working behind the scenes to bring the excitement of Formula One racing to life,” Gupta said. “We partnered with Oracle Red Bull Racing to enable greater diversity in engineering, sports and business and these episodes are a great way to showcase the immense talent of these women.”
