Oprah is door-to-door canvassing for Stacey Abrams in Georgia and people are losing it

Oprah is heading to Georgia this week to campaign for Stacey Abrams to become the first black woman governor which means: You get to vote! You get to vote! You get to vote!

Stacey Abrams, the Democratic candidate for Governor in Georgia, announced the news on Twitter Wednesday morning. If Abrams wins in Georgia on Nov. 6, she will be the first black female governor in the country’s history. In one the most-watched races of this midterm season, Winfrey joins former President Barack Obama and stars like Will Ferrell and Tiffany Haddish in an effort to get out the vote for Abrams.

“I am honored to have Oprah join me for uplifting and honest conversations with voters about the clear choice before us in this election and the boundless potential of Georgians,” Abrams said in a statement.

The media mogul will join Abrams on Thursday to knock on doors and get out the vote in the suburban Atlanta neighborhoods Decatur and Marietta. Her endorsement of Abrams is her first in-person endorsement of a candidate since she endorsed Barack Obama in 2008.

As the news quickly spread, Twitter erupted with GIFs and memes to celebrate one of Oprah’s favorite things, voting for Stacey Abrams.
