Selling Sunset's sixth season is finally here. The show officially dropped on May 19, and I don’t think fans have ever been more excited. The cast has been in the news a lot: Jason has a new girlfriend, Chrishell is married, Maya and Heather just had babies... So, this season is definitely going to be a good one. I mean, this Netflix hit reality TV show brings it all: Fancy houses, sky-high heels, and drama, drama, drama.

Over five seasons, the show made a name for itself thanks to its cast of iconic real estate agents and their uncanny ability to sell multi-million-dollar homes at the Oppenheim Group real estate office. Of course, all this lavishness leaves some people (me) wondering just how much money these agents make. Is that why they're always decked out in designer clothes? And how much are they really worth? I mean, I can’t be the only one wondering what Jason Oppenheim, president and founder of The O Group, and his twin brother, real estate broker Brett, are worth IRL.

Lucky for you, I dug up everything you need to know about the Oppenheim bros' shared net worth, including their previous careers, purchases, and Selling Sunset salaries.

Jason was once deep in debt.

Jason worked at a law firm after law school and he repped a lot of big corporate clients in trials, per his O Group bio. As a lawyer, he made a $250,000 salary, per Swagger Magazine. Still, he didn’t feel satisfied with his career in law, so he quit his job and traveled around the world for three and a half years, the mag continued. When Jason returned, he was $40,000 in debt.

But Jason knew he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his fam (I'm talking five generations of real estate-adjacent relatives), so he joined Coldwell Banker to work in real estate—where he made under $50,000 a year, according to Swagger Magazine. Three years later, Jason founded The O Group, per his bio.

He's doing pretty well for himself. In 2019, he was named one of the Best Real Estate Agents in America by the Wall Street Journal, and the No. 1 Agent in the Hollywood Hills/Sunset Strip area, per Celebrity Net Worth.

Brett is a lawyer-turned-broker, too.

It’s kind of cute that these two had similar career paths, TBH. Brett also went to law school and then worked as a securities litigation attorney at two different firms, per his Oppenheim Real Estate bio. So, his background is definitely pretty different from what he does now. I can’t say for sure, but I’m assuming he made a good wad of cash from his litigation career.

According to Brett's website, he “quickly realized that a nine-to-five in the corporate world was not for me,” quit his job, and traveled around the world (like Jason). Eventually, he found his way to real estate, but ostensibly without the $40k hole in his pocket.

Jason has closed more than $1 billion in sales.

And according to his O Group bio, he has more than $100 million in active listings. (He’s sold houses to big names such as Orlando Bloom, Kris Humphries, and Chlöe Grace Moretz, BTW.)

Brett left The O Group in 2020 to start his own brokerage, called Oppenheim Real Estate, per ET. He’s now the president and a broker there, and recently worked on a renovated Beverly Hills home that sold for $15 million, a $15 million development in Santa Monica, and a $25 million residence in the Hollywood Hills, per his Oppenheim Real Estate bio.

However, it looks like Brett has since rejoined The O Group—he appeared in Selling the OC and will be involved in Selling Sunset season 6. (His bio isn't back up on the site, though, which is a bit confusing.)

Jason has made money on buying, renovating, and selling his own homes.

In 2016, Jason used his own cash to buy a four-bed, four-bath Los Angeles home—built by Avengers star Jeremy Renner in 2008—for $2.7 million. He has since listed the home for just under $8 million four times since buying it, most recently in 2021, according to The New York Post. There’s no word on whether it’s been sold today. But at the very least, he was able to lease it for a whopping $65,000 a month in 2021.

""I'm always looking for special properties, and when I saw this house I just fell in love with it," he told PEOPLE.

Jason didn't stop there. He also bought a $5.1 million estate in the Hollywood Hills in 2020, per PEOPLE. One year later, he bought a $7 million mansion in Newport Beach in October 2021, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Jason and Brett get paid for their reality TV show.

Selling Sunset and Selling the OC literally center around their business—so I’m assuming they take home a good amount of cash per episode. However, the exact amount they get per episode hasn't been made public yet.

Jason gets a cut from each O Group sale.

The commission on a house purchase is usually 5 percent, agent Maya Vander told Metro Co UK in 2020. It’s then split in half, with 2.5 percent going to the person repping the seller and whoever brings the buyer in, leaving the agent with the other half.

After that, “Jason will take his cut because he’s the broker and he has the liability,” she said, adding that it’s usually a 70/30 split, which leaves Jason with 30 percent of her commission. Then, agents have to pax taxes. It’s unclear how Jason and Brett split it from there…but maybe they go 50/50?

So, what’s Jason and Brett’s combined net worth?

These real estate moguls are worth $50 million each, per Celebrity Net Worth and South China Morning Post, making their combined net worth $100 million. From their previous careers, to their own real estate, and their work at The O Group, I bet it all adds up quickly. Daaang!
