Blame the pandemic or our ever-dwindling attention spans, but press-on nails are having a moment. They're by far the easiest way to DIY an at-home manicure (no drying time!), and thanks to new innovations, these fake nails look convincingly real. If you're an OPI polish loyalist, you probably haven't given in to the allure of the press-on nail just yet, but that's about to change. The iconic nail care brand just dropped a whole press-on collection at Ulta, available in five must-have finishes and dozens of colors and effects.

The new xPress/On collection by OPI comes in short and long nail lengths, as well as French, nail art, and special effect finishes. And you'll definitely recognize some of the shades: Lincoln Park After Dark, Big Apple Red, Bubble Bath, among many others. Prices range from $13.99 to $15.99—just a few bucks more than a bottle of OPI polish.

Each kit contains 30 nails in multiple sizes, plus nail glue, a cuticle stick, dual nail file and buffer, and a prep pad to help them really stick. The reusable nails last for 14 days once applied and are made of 94 percent PCR plastic. The short length feature a rounded almond shape, while the long nails are a sophisticated coffin shape. They also come in nail art designs like marble, graphic lines, cute strawberry decals, and metallic chrome. Plus, they'e vegan.

To apply, first cut and file your natural nails, use the included prep pad, then apply glue to both your nails and the press-on. Hold each nail down and let it dry fully. The xPress/On nails are so easy to remove, too. Just soak your hand in warm water and use a little acetone at the cuticle to pop the nails off while keeping your real ones underneath unscathed.
