This Is the Only Backpack I Travel and Commute With—Here's Why I'm Obsessed

And it’s on sale right now.

While it’s relatively easy to find a cute crossbody bag or a stylish tote, it’s usually much harder to find a backpack that’s versatile enough to wear anywhere—you know, one that won’t make you feel like you are headed back to school. The perfect backpack should not only be sophisticated and comfortable, but it should also be big enough to hold more than just the essentials.

Finding an option that ticked all these boxes seemed unlikely until I discovered Lo & Son’s The Rowledge Backpack. The sleek carryall is made from a durable nylon material and features leather accents and gold hardware that make it feel more elevated than your average backpack. Along with ultra-comfortable memory foam backstraps, the knapsack also boasts top-handle straps so you can carry it as a tote as well. This handy feature not only gives the bag a more polished and professional feel, but it also helped me feel more confident about wearing a backpack to the office.

My favorite part of the spacious backpack has to be its wide variety of different-size pockets and compartments that help everything in the bag stay organized. Whenever I use the backpack I never have to rummage through it to find anything—each item now has its own dedicated spot. The Rowledge not only features a roomy interior with dedicated areas for pens, phones, keys, and more, but it also has a dedicated laptop sleeve, two outer side pockets designed to hold water bottles and umbrellas, and a spacious front pocket.

Besides being the perfect bag for my daily commute, the backpack is a great carry-on travel bag as well. I recently carried it on a cross-country flight and couldn’t have been happier. The stasher pocket on top of the bag was helpful for storing items that I needed easy access to, like my ID, headphones, and snacks, while the pass-through sleeve on the back of the bag allowed me to attach the backpack to the handle on my rolling suitcase.

Even though the backpack was roomy enough to hold my laptop and a change of clothes, among other travel essentials, it was still compact enough to fit underneath my seat on the airplane. What’s more? The bag features water-resistant zippers which helped keep my belongings safe and dry when I got caught in a rainstorm.

While the versatile backpack only comes in black, you can choose between a gray and lavender interior. At $375 a piece, this cute carryall is definitely an investment, but luckily for you, it is on sale right now, currently marked down to $300—meaning you can score it at a 20 percent discount.
