From introducing Ina Garten and Richard Madden (AKA the new James Bond) to the magical powers of a classic martini to casually whipping up a multicourse meal that left Robert Downey raving, it seems like there’s little actor/author/filmmaker Stanley Tucci can’t do in the kitchen.

On the heels of the release of his new GreenPan collection, Tucci took part in a quick-fire interview on Katie Couric’s TikTok. The conversation was full of confessions and reflections. But our ears really perked up when Tucci confessed one thing he’ll probably never be adding to the recipes he shares on his popular Instagram page. You’ll also likely never see him seek out this one thing in future seasons of his series, Searching for Italy. (Because some streaming service or channel simply has to pick this up for season 3 after CNN stopped creating original content, right?!)

When asked about the one food he just doesn’t like, Tucci admits, “I like just about everything. I suppose I don’t like passionfruit.”

So you’ll likely never see the brightly-colored, seed-studded tropical fruit in any of Tucci’s culinary creations. This is especially true if you’re expecting any sort of passionfruit tart, quick bread, cake or bar cookie.

Couric inquires about the one dish Tucci’s terrible at making, and the Julie & Julia star says, “I can’t bake anything.”

Throughout the rest of the conversation with Couric, Tucci also reveals his favorite midnight snack (peanut butter, banana, and honey on toasted bread), the sauce he can’t live without (marinara), his favorite cocktail (a martini, naturally) and what he listens to while cooking (Harry Styles, Diana Krall, and Elvis Costello).

Watermelon sugar? Yes. Passionfruit pulp? No thanks.
