One of Parmigiani’s Modern Classics Is Now Available in Rose Gold and Stainless Steel

Even though it feels like it’s been a mainstay of the Parmigiani Fleurier’s catalog for years, the brand first introduced its Tonda PF collection only two years ago in 2021. Then, in 2022, Parmigiani updated the collection with a 36 mm version, and later that year, the rose gold variation of the model featuring diamond hour markers went on to win the Women’s Watch Prize at the GPHG. Today, Parmigiani builds on the collection with two new variations featuring the 36 mm proportions and, for the first time, a two-tone combination of rose gold and stainless steel.

For the all-new two-tone iteration of the Tonda PF, Parmigiani wanted to go beyond a typical mixed metal approach. Instead, the brand specifically employed 18-karat rose gold and stainless steel to further enhance the signature geometry of the Tonda PF’s design, accentuating the architecture of the tapered, integrated bracelet. In contrast to the polished stainless steel links at either end of the bracelet, the gold vertical links flanking the horizontal central link display a satin-finished surface. These golden links taper in size as they reach the folding clasp and emphasize the streamlined silhouette of the bracelet. In this way, the combination of metals draws the eye to the fluid lines of the Tonda PF.

Unlike the larger 40 mm variation that houses the brand’s micro-rotor movement, the new 36 mm variations come equipped with the PF770, which notably lacks a date complication. As a result, each of the new Tonda PF models takes on a sleek, minimalist aesthetic. In addition to the first two-tone addition, Parmigiani has added a new take on its GPHG winner, with a rose gold iteration featuring a deep ruby dial and the option of a complementary ruby-colored alligator strap.

Both versions of the new Tonda PF 36 mm are available today. The Deep Ruby variation will set you back $40,400 while the two-tone iteration is slightly less at $26,200.
