Our staffers here at The Kitchn are pretty particular about their coffee, which probably comes as no surprise. Some of my colleagues make their morning brews with top-of-the-line espresso machines, while others have their go-to neighborhood coffee shops that get the order just right every time. As for me, flavor is important, but I value convenience above everything else, with cost coming in at a close second. So, when I got the chance to try Jot Coffee’s new, limited-edition chocolate hazelnut concentrate, I took it. I was already familiar with Jot, as it’s an editor-loved coffee brand that sells easy, delicious concentrates in a variety of fun flavors.

The newest release tastes just as good as it sounds, and it comes in a bottle that holds enough concentrate for up to 14 cups of coffee, give or take. If you ask me, that’s not bad at all for $26 a bottle! Only thing is, if you want to try it, you’ll have to act fast — the chocolate hazelnut concentrate is only available for a limited time, and it’s selling fast!

What is Jot Coffee’s Chocolate Hazelnut Concentrate?

As far as coffee goes, making a cup doesn’t get any easier than when you’re using Jot’s concentrate. Although the brand currently has six flavors total, this new one is a chocolate-lover’s dream. I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge chocolate fan when it comes to drinks, but this concentrate is rich, velvety, and undeniably good — especially when served over ice. I was also happy to find that it wasn’t bitter in the slightest, even with minimal milk and creamer. What’s more, when you order the 200 ml bottle, it comes with a cute little tablespoon, so you know exactly how much to pour into your cup. Of course, you can adjust the dose, but I found that a single tablespoon was just enough to get me adequately caffeinated without making me jittery. Plus, the bottle features a convenient stopper for mess-free pours, which I also loved.

Why I Love Jot Coffee’s Chocolate Hazelnut Concentrate

Before trying Jot’s concentrate, I was making pour-over coffee every night in a single-serve carafe, which I’d place in the fridge for the next morning. The process suited my needs for the most part, except for the occasional evening when I’d forget to make the coffee. And let me tell you, there’s nothing more annoying than getting cozy in bed for the night, only to remember that I forgot to make coffee for the next morning. Or even worse: waking up and realizing I don’t have coffee on hand to help me get ready for the day. After I received the chocolate hazelnut concentrate, I’d simply roll out of bed, pour some into my mug, and be buzzing with energy in just a couple of minutes. I also love how strongly the chocolate flavor comes through, as I don’t otherwise enjoy plain black coffee. (A splash of vanilla creamer is enough with this stuff!)

Suffice to say, I can’t recommend trying Jot’s new concentrate enough, and I’d suggest stocking up while the chocolate hazelnut flavor is still available. It’ll become your new favorite reason to get out of bed — you can trust me on this.
