“Have you seen the Rock Train running along the railroad tracks behind the Barbey Maritime Center at the Columbia River Maritime Museum?” the museum posted on its Facebook page. “Stop by and check it out! Add to the Rock Train! But, please, don’t take rocks away from the Rock Train!”

“Oh yay! Thank you so much for posting about this!” Jackie Haynes Higginbotham replied. “I started it on Jan. 1. Started with 27 rocks and it keeps on growing!”

Are some of the creative folks at Astoria Rocks, who paint rocks with bright colors and hide them around town, involved in this whimsical eye treat? It’s anyone’s guess.
