How did The Conners Season 5 end?
The fifth season of the series ended with Mark graduating from high school and several other members of the family, including Dan and Jackie, getting the ceremony they never had as teens themselves.

What will happen in The Conners Season 6?
There isn't a ton of concrete information about what will unfold in Season 6, although the trailer (see below) does show the return of Tyler (Sean Astin) as Becky's love interest. It also seems likely we'll get to see Mark head off to college and Darlene struggle with her decision to pause her own career for the benefit of her son (she took a job as a university lunch lady to get him a discount on tuition). It's possible the family will face the loss of Beverly, Jackie's mom, too, as it was revealed in Season 5 that she's suffering from dementia.

Who from the cast will not be returning for Season 6?
Jayden Rey will not be returning as a series regular to play DJ’s daughter Mary, sources confirmed to Deadline, although it's possible she'll make guest appearances. OG Roseanne cast member Michael Fishman, who plays her dad, left the spinoff series in Season 5.

Is Season 6 the last season of The Conners?
ABC has not confirmed whether the show will end with Season 6, but executive producer Bruce Helford strongly implied that it might. “Sara Gilbert expressed to the network that we don’t want to go out without knowing that we are going out with a series finale so we can build to the right ending—and at this point in time, we feel that [next season] is possibly going to be the last season of The Conners,” he told TVLine in May 2023.
John Goodman has also suggested the show could end with Season 6. “I think we may be coming to an end on it, I’m not sure,” Goodman told France 24 (via TVInsider). “It’s lasted longer than I thought we would. It was just supposed to be like an eight [episode] show and out thing at one point, but they picked us up again, and they keep picking us up."
