  • Fans are upset that Chrissy Teigen announced the winner of The Voice during last night's final show before it aired on the West Coast.

  • Chrissy sent out a tweet (actually, a re-tweet from The Voice's official account) announcing the winner.

  • Chrissy later apologized, saying she'll never announce anything else her husband wins again before "each state and every country" knows.

Chrissy Teigen is no stranger to Twitter drama (hi, body-shamer clap-backs and Twitter troll shut-downs). But now, Chrissy's found herself in the middle of drama she helped create.

The season finale of The Voice aired last night, and people were majorly upset with Chrissy for spoiling the season finale-you know, when the winner is announced. Chrissy, who was watching The Voice on the East Coast, sent out a tweet congratulating her husband, judge John Legend, on his contestant, Maelyn Jarmon's win. (FYI: Maeyln is 26, and completely deaf in her right ear).

"OH MY GODDDDDDDD!! WOOHOO!!!" Chrissy wrote, re-tweeting The Voice's official announcement of the winner.

But uh, apparently Chrissy totally ruined that special moment for everyone looking forward to the finale over on the West Coast-and her Twitter followers were quick to point out her error.

One follower tweeted, "WON'T AIR ON THE WEST COAST FOR ANOTHER HOUR!!" Another follower had a sweet, but savage response: "Chrissy sweetie. Could you have waited until we in the West Coast saw the show?" the commenter wrote. "I forgot that I followed you and glanced at my Twitter feed. I’m happy, but would have liked the surprise."

To be fair, Chrissy only re-tweeted the announcement from The Voice's official account-and the tweet even had the words "SPOILER ALERT." But Chrissy still owned up to her mistake...in the most Chrissy way possible.

“[I’m] truly sorry for spoiling the voice tonight,” she tweeted out later Tuesday night. “I thought that since the official account tweeted it, it would be okay. But now I realize it wasn’t and will make sure that when my husband wins something with someone, I will wait for each state and every country before being excited.”

She also followed up that apology with another zinger: “Well it looks like we are now being penalized for my spoiler and the award has been taken away and given to Carson Daly,” she wrote. “Again I apologize."

Apologies accepted, Chrissy. Your tweets are always welcome-even if they might disclose the winner of a TV show before the entire audience knows.
