Olympic Figure Skater Meryl Davis Is Engaged to Fedor Andreev: See Her Engagement Ring

Let the next set of games begin. Olympic figure skater and gold medalist Meryl Davis is engaged to longtime boyfriend Fedor Andreev, she revealed on Sunday, July 16.

Davis took to Instagram to reveal the news, simply captioning a photo of herself embracing her future husband with the date of their engagement: “7/13/17.” Andreev, a former figure skater himself, is the son of Davis’s coach, Marina Zoueva. The two have now been together for over six years.

Davis, who memorably won gold and then went on to secure Dancing With the Stars Mirror Ball, made sure to emphasize her brand new sparkler—a square-cut yellow diamond sparker featuring a halo—in the photo on Instagram. The couple got engaged at Stinson Beach, California.

The timing works out impeccably for the lifelong athlete, who announced that she will not be returning to the 2018 Olympics to defend her gold medal with Charlie White. Instead, she’ll likely be planning her wedding.
