Olympian Skier Jonny Moseley's "Herd" Takes Over Entire Lake Tahoe Trail

Jonny Moseley, the man, the myth, and the chef behind the legendary "dinner roll," also possesses another unique talent: cat herding.

No, not literally cats—the Olympic gold medalist has a knack for leading massive groups of skiers down the slopes of Palisades Tahoe, California.

Moseley, who's enjoyed celebrity stardom after a fruitful mogul skiing career, hasn't forgotten his humble slopeside roots.

This season, Moseley's hosted numerous ski day meetups for his fans at Palisades Tahoe. The premise is simple. Moseley shares a time and a location at the resort. Then, those who want to ski alongside the legend arrive; from there, it's game on.

The meetups have drawn significant crowds. Professional skiers and their ilk seem to operate in a gilded world of competition courses, towering Alaskan peaks, and the odd Minnesotan handrail. Aside from the occasional lift line sighting, the pros we idolize might as well cease to exist the moment the latest ski blockbuster concludes.

Thus, when given the opportunity to meet one of these fabled characters in the flesh—and prove that they're, y'know, actually just people like you and me—Palisades Tahoe skiers didn't miss a beat.

Moseley's star power probably exceeds that of the average pro skier, too. Aside from pushing mogul skiing in a newschool direction with his now-famous "dinner roll" trick, he's narrated Warren Miller Entertainment films, appeared in his own self-titled video game, and hit the ice on Skating with the Stars.

To all that I say: who wouldn't want to ski with Jonny Moseley?
