Name a time when Olivia Wilde hasn’t shown up and out in a well-tailored power suit. You can't, can you? From her cherry red plunging blazer to her vibrant green boucle Chanel skirt suit, the actress consistently churns out the best of the best when it comes to power dressing — and her latest suited and booted look just gave a dose of workwear inspiration to us mere morals.

On Thursday, Wilde arrived at the Schiaparelli and Neiman Marcus Cocktail Event at the John Sowden House in Los Angeles in a head-to-toe Schiaparelli ensemble that reworked classic suiting. For the event, she donned a plunging black-and-white pinstripe, shoulder-padded blazer styled with nothing underneath. As for her bottom half, the director paired the structured blazer with coordinating high-waisted, wide-leg trousers and a pair of pointed-toe pumps. Larger-than-life earrings and a cream-colored Schiaparelli purse adorned with features of a face rounded out Olivia’s look.

Beauty-wise, Olivia styled her caramel hair down in tousled waves with a middle part and opted for a bronzy complexion with a dramatic, smoky eye shadow and a pink glossy lip.

This isn't the first time that Olivia has reached for a head-turning look with an especially risqué element. Whether it be a Gabriela Hearst floor-sweeping gown with a peekaboo black bra or her lingerie-inspired look with nothing but a pair of hot pants underneath, Wilde practically lives to break fashion rules.

Case in point? Last May, she attended the nuptials of Colton Underwood and Jordan C. Brown in Napa Valley and posted an Instagram story modeling a white backless, slinky Nili Lotan gown while simultaneously calling herself out in the caption. “Wore a wedding dress to a wedding just so I could make a joke about it in my toast,” she wrote.
