Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis Split After 9 Years Together

It feels like every time we take a step forward in 2020, we then take two steps back. In today's depressing news, Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis have called off their seven year engagement. They are parents to son Otis, 6, and daughter Daisy, 4, and reportedly split up at the beginning of the year, People reports.

"It's been amicable and they’ve transitioned into a great co-parenting routine," a source reveals. "The children are the priority and the heart of the family’s relationship.

Both Olivia and Jason were previously married before they began dating. Olivia broke up with Tao Ruspoli in 2011 and Jason split from Kay Cannon in 2010. They started dating in November 2011 and Jason proposed in January 2013. Although they had been engaged for years, they never actually got married.

“We are seriously connected,” Olivia told Net-a-Porter’s Porter Edit in February 2016. “Before you have a child, marriage is the ultimate commitment and promise to one another, and then once you have a child, it’s like, ‘Oh, we’re committed and promised already.'"

Jason recently praised actress-turned-director Olivia's talent after witnessing her work on her latest project, Don't Worry Darling. "It's amazing to see her resilience and she just works her butt off," he told Entertainment Tonight. "She's editing the stuff they already shot. She's using her time and she has so many other projects in the works that she kicks ass that way." Olivia also thinks highly of her now ex and praised him for his role in her 2019 film, Booksmart. "There's still a shorthand that comes from being someone's closest partner, but I loved being able to just set him free because he's one of the best improvisers in the world," she admitted. "And I just loved that we got him to take this bit of information that we had in the script and run with it."

Ugh, gonna miss these two being together.
