Olivia Rodrigo, all-around Gen Z superstar, took over the White House today. Well, sort of: Rodrigo met with President Joe Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci to promote the importance of getting the COVID-19 vaccine. The singer’s appearance comes at a time when vaccination rates across the nation—especially in younger people—have stalled. And who better to get the word out to the youth than a chart-topping musician?

Given the high-profile nature of her appearance, Rodrigo wore a professional yet eye-catching pink, black, and white Chanel tweed skirt-suit (hello Cher Horowitz!). The vintage ensemble, from 1995, was a clever nod to the many First Ladies who have favored Chanel in the White House, most notably Jacqueline Kennedy. Rodrigo accessorized hers with white Giuseppe Zanotti platforms, Justine Clenquet earrings, and a tiny black Amina Muaddi purse.

While in the White House today, Rodrigo will be recording videos that will share some need-to-know facts about the vaccines, which will be shared on both her and the White House’s social pages (Rodrigo has more than 28 million followers alone across her own channels). As COVID-19 infections are rising in 42 states, due to slowed vaccination rates and the rise of the Delta variant, getting the jab is crucial, and less than half of all Americans are fully vaccinated. With Rodrigo on board to boost those numbers, she clearly just wants citizens to be “happy and healthy.”
