  • Olivia Jade's career took another hit this week just two weeks after her parents were implicated in a college admissions bribery scandal.

  • She was trying to trademark her name for a future beauty line, and the applications were rejected for a kind of hilarious reason.

In the wake of her mom's alleged involvement in a bribery scheme that helped get her into USC, Olivia Jade is taking some serious hits when it comes to her career. According to The Blast, her trademark applications for "Olivia Jade" and "Olivia Jade Beauty" were just rejected.

First things first, her application stated that she wanted these trademarks for “make up kits” with “moisturizer” and “concealer," which the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office said was too broad.

But here's where it gets even better (or worse, if you're Olivia), another reason the USPTO rejected her application was because of... bad grammar.

"Proper punctuation in identifications is necessary to delineate explicitly each product or service within a list and to avoid ambiguity,” the office wrote, per The Blast, “Commas, semicolons, and apostrophes are the only punctuation that should be used.”

Yikes. Hard yikes. Apparently, she gets one more shot to turn in the applications. This was her second attempt. FYI, the same guy who's handling her mom and dad's legal defense is the one responsible for filling out these applications for her. The irony is not lost on anyone.

FYI, Olivia also had a partnership/collection with Sephora, and when the whole scandal came to light, the company announced the partnership was over. This was the official statement: "After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately."

And apparently, Olivia's out here blaming her parents for ruining her career. “Olivia blames her mom and dad for this scandal and for the downfall of her career,” a source told Us, adding that Olivia “was initially trying to shrug off the scandal as something that would pass after a week and she could go back to her life.”

Ouch. Looks like that's definitely not going to be the case.
