Olivia Jade Shared a Message for Media Regarding Lori Loughlin and the College Admissions Scandal
Olivia Jade might have chosen to go silent on Instagram in the wake of a college admissions scandal involving her mom, Lori Loughlin, but she’s now back and has a lot to say. After previously returning to the social media platform to wish Lori a happy birthday, Olivia posted again, and this time, she’s got a choice gesture for all the “sources” reporting on the scandal.
On Sunday, Olivia shared a photograph that had her posing with two middle fingers raised. She captioned the photo by tagging the Daily Mail, Star magazine, People, Perez Hilton, and “every other media outlet.” She also used the hashtags #Close #Source #Says.
The photo and its caption seem to be a response of sorts to the continued reporting regarding her mom’s involvement in the recent college admissions scandal that involved dozen of parents including Lori and Felicity Huffman. According to previous reporting from NBC News, the scandal reportedly involved parents and guardians using bribery, cheating, and lying to get their children into prestigious schools.
Both of Lori’s daughters, Olivia and Isabella Giannulli, had gotten into USC, and previous reporting had alleged that the pair would be leaving the college; Olivia has apparently decided to focus on becoming an influencer, with a source telling Entertainment Tonight that she never wanted to attend the school.
Up until a birthday wish for her mom, which was posted on July 29, Olivia had remained silent on Instagram. The YouTuber had received ongoing threats and harassment via her social media platform, and presumably deactivated her comment section on Instagram as a result. However, she has allowed for comments on the last two posts, and many celebs, including Tana Mongeau, responded. Aside from the Instagram post, Olivia has not yet publicly commented on the admissions scandal.
