Olivia Jade Broke Her Instagram Silence Following College Admissions Scandal to Wish Lori Loughlin Happy Birthday

Olivia Jade has broken her months-long Instagram silence to wish mom Lori Loughlin a happy birthday.

On July 29, the 19-year-old influencer posted a throwback snap with her mother to her account to celebrate the occasion, writing, “One day late. happy birthday. i love you so much” alongside a red heart emoji.

Following the alleged college cheating scandal — which will be turned into a Lifetime movie — Olivia went silent on social media after receiving a wave of harassing comments. Prior to the recent post, her last appearance on the social platform was dated February 28, and she had since deactivated the comment section on most of her latest snaps — but not on Loughlin’s birthday tribute.

Bella Giannulli, Olivia’s sister, had also returned to her social media a day prior after a 6-month absence to commemorate her mother’s 55th birthday. “Happy birthday mama. I love you,” she posted on her account on July 28 with a more recent picture of the two.

After the bribery indictment, for which both Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli were arrested back in March, both Bella and Olivia reportedly left USC — with sources stating they were "devastated" by their parents’ actions. Olivia also lost several sponsorships in the aftermath.

Per US Weekly, the mother-daughter duo weren't on speaking terms in early April. Entertainment Weekly also reported earlier this month that in the wake of the scandal, Olivia’s relationship with her mother had gone through some up and downs but that is “has improved" — and the birthday snaps seem to corroborate just that.

Apart from the birthday snaps, and after Loughlin and Giannulli officially pleaded not guilty in late April, Olivia and Bella haven't yet spoken about the scandal publicly.
