Olivia de Havilland’s Greatest On-Screen Performances

Gone With the Wind was merely the beginning of this Hollywood starlet’s distinguished acting career. You may know her for her Academy Award-nominated performance in Gone With the Wind as demure Melanie Hamilton, but that was merely the start of Olivia de Havilland’s illustrious acting career. De Havilland had only been in the movie business for a few years when she landed the career-making role as Scarlett O’Hara’s sister-in-law in 1939. De Havilland continued to star in movies until the 1980s (49 in total!) and was nominated for five Academy Awards over the course of her career. Scroll down to take a look at some of her greatest on-screen performances.
