Olivia Colman looks unrecognisable with new peroxide blonde hair transformation

Known for her iconic movie roles in The Crown, Broadchurch and Heartstopper (to name a few), Olivia Colman is an actor to be reckoned with. And as one would assume, with such polarising and born-again characterisations, there comes many a transformative beauty look. Though, having said that, nothing could have quite prepared us for Olivia's most recent makeover coming to us in celebration of Wonka.
At the Wonka film premiere hosted just a few days ago [28 November 2023] – in which Olivia was in attendance for her role in the remake as Mrs Scrubbit – the actor debuted a dramatic 'mini milk' coloured peroxide blonde hair look.
Not only is this world's apart from the cropped bouffant hairstyle she wore when playing Queen Elizabeth II but from her signature grey peppered brunette locks, too.
As adorable as Olivia and her husband Ed Sinclair are posing arm in arm, we cannot take our eyes off of her bleached pixie cut. Simply stunnin'.
Now, contrary to the age-old beauty rule that lighter blonde locks are the appropriate tone for the spring/summer seasons, we think this is the perfect frosted winter hairdo. Plus, we love the deep parted relaxed finger waves and extra short style; it is the epitomé of 1920s glamour. Daisy Buchanan (minus a few inches off the ends) vibes.
Hair aside, we also must acknowledge the glitz and sparkle of the star's makeup look. You best believe we'll be recreating this silver glitter liner look for the upcoming festivities. Olivia, we're coming for ya gig!
