Olivia Colman looks like a true queen with her new blonde hair at the 2020 Oscars
She may have stepped down from her role as the queen on The Crown, but Olivia Colman is still red carpet royalty. Colman, who has been known for her brunette hair, debuted a new blonde pixie cut on the 2020 Oscars red carpet. And if Twitter is any indication, the universe cannot deal with the gorgeous platinum transformation.
The 2019 Academy Award winner is wearing a bejeweled Stella McCartney gown at the 2020 Oscars, but her hair is taking center stage.
“Been thinking about going blonde,” one person tweeted. “Saw Olivia Colman is blonde now. That’s my sign. Legend. I love her so much.” Olivia Colman: single-handedly starting a blonde wave.
This is definitely a last-minute color transformation, as Colman showed off her standard brunette pixie just last week, February 2nd, at the British Academy Film Awards in London. According to Harper’s Bazaar, celebrity hairstylist Marcus Francis teased a dramatic hair color change for someone on Instagram just five hours ago.
Soon afterward, he shared a peek at Colman’s new look with the caption, “Blonde Ambition.”

Spot Colman and her blonde hair on stage presenting the award for Best Actor this year—a job she earned by winning Best Actress for The Favourite last year. Needless to say, this is a look that needs to be showcased on the post-show party circuit, too. Olivia, you earned it.
