Old Navy Is Selling a 'Flattering' $13 Linen Button-Back Tank Top So Similar to a J. Crew Style 5x the Price

With warm weather finally here and the countdown to summer officially starting, your short-sleeve wardrobe is likely calling to you. One fan-favorite fabric you should reach for this spring and summer is linen. It’s great for this time of year thanks to how light and airy it is, plus it comes in so many different clothing options. And a best-selling tank top at Old Navy might be the best new addition to your closet—especially because this button-back top also looks so much like a J. Crew style that’s nearly three times the price.
The tank in question is Old Navy’s Sleeveless Linen-Blend Top, which is currently on sale for Memorial Day Weekend for $12.49. But even its original price of $24.99 is pretty affordable for the style and quality. As it says in its name, this top is made from a blend of 55% linen and 45% rayon. It has a high neck and a full button-back style. It has a “relaxed fit” and hits at the waist.

Old Navy’s sleeveless linen-blend button-back top comes in four colors—natural linen, “black jack,” black floral and red floral—and “regular” sizes XS through 4X. It also comes in tall and petite sizes, as most of Old Navy's items do. As we said before, it’s marked as a “best seller” and has a 4.5-star rating to back that up.
"Cute summer top," one shopper wrote in their review, while another wrote that it’s a “classic design.”
"Must have for this summer!!" another person titled their review. Then in the rest of the post, they wrote: "As soon as I saw it, I had to get it!!! Love this beautiful top!!"
"Love the top, I have matching pants so it [looks] like a suit, very flattering, love it," one more shopper wrote, commenting on the fact that this top is part of a set. Their High-Waisted Linen-Blend Wrap-Front Mini Skort is a direct match in terms of fabric, with a couple of matching colors. There’s also the High-Waisted Linen-Blend Wide-Leg Pants that you can buy to match the black and natural linen tops.
Maxine Button-Back Top in Linen, $46.50–$66.99 at J. Crew
As we stated up top, this cute, simple linen-blend tank top is nice in its own right. But it also looks so similar to J. Crew’s Maxine Button-Back Top in Linen. Back in April, we reported about a J. Crew lookalike top at Target, and now Old Navy’s is just as comparable.
The J. Crew Top is currently on sale too, and costs between $46.50–$66.99. This one is 100% linen, but otherwise looks the exact same, with the high-neck, loose fit and button-back.
If you’re someone who likes the look of J. Crew’s chic products, especially the button-back tank top, then Old Navy’s Sleeveless Linen-Blend Top is worth checking out. Considering the low price and the nearly identical J. Crew look, you can’t go wrong.
