Oklahoma Labrador Mix Finally Finds His Forever Home After 871 Days in the Shelter
Sam, AKA Mr. Handsome, is ready to be spoiled rotten!
Just a few days ago, Sam (aka Mr. Handsome)the rescue dog was living a very different life. He was still staying with the Bixby Animal Rescue Network in Bixby, Oklahoma, where he had spent the last two and a half years. That's right--this big guy spent 871 long days in the shelter before finding his perfect match.
Despite knowing obedience commands, mastering tricks, and even donating blood to give another dog a longer life, few people stopped by to meet Sam. Luckily, his friends at the rescue never stopped being his wingmen, and they took every opportunity to share more about him.
OMG! We completely understand why Sam is also called 'Mr. Handsome.' He's such an enchanting dog! His eyes are the most beautiful brown, and that signature smile could melt any dog-lover's heart.
"I love big black dogs!" wrote commenter TL RN. "This one so deserves a home of his own. If I had a bigger yard I’d come pick him up today. He’s gorgeous!" Aww, that's so sweet! It's true, though--Sam deserves a loving home just as much as any other dog. He's always been overlooked because of his black-colored fur, but that doesn't mean he isn't the sweetest boy!
